Overview
Pipe Runner 2049 is a VR game where you are stuck in a dark sewer system with a mechanical eel, who will stop at nothing to find and kill you. Your only hope? The Bazooka. Traverse the sewers, finding scrap metal and other useful gadgets to help you stay alive.

The Eel
The Eel is coming, and it is ruthless. The sewer is its domain, and you are trespassing. Its one weakness? Light.
Loot Crates
Loot crates can be found around the sewer system, containing scrap metal and sometimes useful gadgets, including the flare gun, flashlight, locator, and flippers.
Flare Gun
The Flare Gun is your one defense against the phantoms and the eel. Providing a source of light with its shots, if it hits a phantom it will immediately kill it. If it hits the eel, it will cause the eel to flee, but will not kill it.
Flashlight
Does exactly what a flashlight is supposed to do, sometimes at least.
Locator
The locator will provide you locational data about the eel. It will let you know exactly how far away the eel is, so you know when it is approaching and when it is on a different side of the sewer system.
Lure
The lure, when activated, will go off after 3 seconds, immediately taking the attention of the eel no matter where it is on the map. Just make sure to activate it before you throw it!
Flippers
When grabbed, the flippers will immediately equip and give you faster movement speed when in the water.
Scrap
When grabbed, scrap metal will immediately go into your inventory for storage. You can see how much scrap you have by looking at your left hand or on the bazooka spawner.
Bazooka Spawner
The Bazooka Spawner can be found at the starting location. Once you have attained 10 scrap metal, you can press the button to redeem it for the bazooka. This will 1 shot the eel, taking it down for good and freeing the sewers.
Phantoms
Phantoms are a unique monster that appear in the sewers. As someone is playing Pipe Runner 2049, audience members can go online and "haunt" your lobby, spawning phantoms around the player.
If looked at, phantoms will attack you. They move through walls and always stay a small distance from the player.
Asset Use
Art - All art assets were modeled and textured over the weekend for the game jam. This includes the map/environment, mechanical eel, and all equipables.
Programming - All game mechanics were programmed over the weekend for the game jam. For XR interactions, an XR toolkit was used to simplify VR setup.
